:: CATERING TO OUR INNER PARTS - LEMME TELL YA, IT’S NOT EASY. AND THIS IS COMING FROM SOMEONE WHO ENJOYS BEING ALONE. BUT IN RECENT MONTHS, I’VE LEARNED THAT WHEN YOU GO THROUGH DEPRESSION OR ANXIETY, SOMEHOW LONELINESS BECOMES LINKED TO THOSE OTHER PARTS OF WHO WE ARE. AND FLARES UP JUST AS QUICKLY AND EASILY AS DEPRESSION AND ANXIETY :: THE BEST THING WE CAN DO IS CATER TO THIS SIDE OF US - WHAT HAS HELPED ME THROUGH THESE PARTS IS FIRST ASKING MYSELF WHAT I NEED TO FEEL BETTER :: UNFORTUNATELY, RUNNING AWAY FROM LONELINESS IS NOT SOMETHING WE CAN DO BECAUSE IT’S ALWAYS GOING TO BE THERE. SAME WITH THE OTHER PARTS. IN TIMES OF LONELINESS, MY INITIAL REACTION IS TO HOP ON A DATING APP OR QUICKLY FIND SOMEONE TO TALK TO :: HOWEVER WHEN I DO THAT, I’M NOT ACTUALLY ENJOYING ANY OF IT - WHICH SHOWS ME IT’S CLEAR THAT I WANT OR MAYBE NEED TO BE ALONE WHEN LONELINESS POPS UP. SO, WHAT IS IT THAT I’M NOT ENJOYING ABOUT BEING ALONE? I’VE REALIZED WHEN I ASKED MYSELF THIS QUESTION, MOST OF THE TIME THE ANSWER IS THAT I’M BORED AND I WANT TO LAUGH. OK… SO, MAKE YOURSELF LAUGH. WE DON’T ALWAYS NEED OTHER HUMAN INTERACTION TO GET WHAT WE NEED FOR OURSELVES. ALMOST ALL OF THE TIME, IT’S WITHIN US ::

:: SOMETHING I HAVE LEARNED RECENTLY, IS THAT TIME IS IRRELEVANT IN OUR TIMELINE OF SUCCESS BECAUSE NO MATTER WHAT - WE ARE GOING TO MAKE IT. WE ARE GOING TO ACHIEVE OUR GOALS. THE WHEN IN THE EQUATION OF THE ACHIEVEMENTS ESSENTIALLY DOES NOT MATTER. ALL THAT MATTERS, IS THE HERE AND NOW :: I’VE BEEN LOVING THE SAYING “GOD’S TIMING IS PERFECT” BECAUSE IT REALLY IS. IF SOMETHING DOESN’T WORK OUT, SOMETHING ELSE WILL. I’VE BEEN SO HUNG UP ON TIME LATELY SAYING TO MYSELF “I’M RUNNING OUT OF TIME, I HAVE TO HURRY BEFORE I RUN OUT OF MONEY” BUT THEN I STOP AND TELL MYSELF TO SLOW DOWN BECAUSE THESE THOUGHTS ARE NOT SERVING ME & I WON’T GET ANYTHING DONE BY RUSHING MYSELF OR BEING HARD ON MYSELF. AGAIN, IT IS ALL ABOUT THE HERE AND NOW :: HERE AND NOW DETERMINES WHAT HAPPENS IN THE NEXT 10 MINUTES, YOUR ENTIRE DAY, AND ESSENTIALLY YOUR FUTURE. WE HAVE TO LINE UP WITH THE PRESENT MOMENT IN ORDER TO REALLY GET THINGS DONE. IT IS THE HERE AND NOW THAT KEEPS US BALANCED AND HAPPY. UNLESS SOMEONE IS GRABBING YOU BY THE ARM OR BLOWING UP YOUR EMAIL INBOX, THERE IS NO REASON TO FEEL RUSHED :: EVEN IF YOU DO HAPPEN TO HAVE SOMETHING DUE AND YOU ARE RUNNING OUT OF TIME, ASK FOR MORE TIME - WHETHER IT BE FROM A FRIEND, BOSS, OR CO-WORKER. YOU ARE ALSO NOT ANYONE’S KEEPER - WE ALL HAVE BOUNDARIES, AND IF YOU FEEL PRESSURED OR STRESSED IT IS NOT BAD TO DO WHAT YOU NEED TO DO FOR YOURSELF. WE HAVE TO BE KIND AND EASY ON OURSELVES. WHAT EVER IT IS THAT YOU MAY BE STRESSED ABOUT, IT WILL GET DONE. WE ARE NOT RUNNING OUT OF TIME. WE HAVE ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD ::
